CSA: Week Four
Holy cow, we are going to be sweating green this week:

  • Huge bunch of spinach
  • Kale
  • Bag of fancy salad mix
  • Huge head of nice lettuce
  • Head of broccoli
  • An avocado
  • A potato
  • A large onion
  • A tomato
  • Three bananas
  • Two oranges
  • Two apples
  • A carrot and a half
  • A young coconut
  • A pint of strawberries!
And my salad spinner came!!!! It doesnt quite dry everything as well as Id imagined. And then I saw two at the thrift store for about two bucks each. Oh well. Im still happy with it.

I love the CSA challenge! So far I am mostly able to get everything fairly local, or at least with California being the furthest.

Oh and I couldn't resist. In my delivery bin this week there was an organic pineapple from Costa Rica. I had a hankering for pineapple and we can't grow them here. ;)
