My Cornucopia of New + Used Books
A friend sent me two of the books for my birthday present and I got the other books, including the Morning Star Trilogy for three dollars because I had an amazon.com gift certificate also given to me for my birthday. This gift of books comes at the perfect time! The semester ends next week and I get to dictate my reading material for awhile. =] Looking at my own choices in books is interesting, to see sort of where I am at with my main interests right now. Healthful cooking, gardening, food+farming issues... and art books like Nick Bantock's are still fun for me, after all these years.
I first read the Griffin and Sabine books when I was in high school. I think they were pretty formative for me, artistically. I didn't even know that he had written three more books in the series. I think I should re-read the first three before I dive in to these darlings. I was so sad when I finished the third, and what I thought was final book, that I cried.
So, this is exciting. Just one more week and Im freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
